born and rased but still know nothing

The place I grew up but know nothing about. Every time I come home for a visit, I feel a little bit more worried about safety. I find myself more alert and cautious in my own hometown then I do in a new country. At the same time, I meet these amazing people that show me the best way to live life; happy, carefree, and spontaneous. The United States might not be my favorite place in the world, but I can always count on a wild time with some crazy people.
For those under 25 visiting the states solo, will be pretty hard to get around. Buses are becoming more prevenient but still public transportation is trash. So you defiantly need to rent a car (or know someone who has one) if you want to see more than just the city center.
