Europe’s most stunning caves

I never really thought about going to Slovenia until I found a cheap overnight bus ticket to the capital Ljubljana (Still don’t know how to pronounce). Everywhere I traveled the people were friendly and very welcoming. There were a lot of things to do, mainly outdoors. Stunning hikes, great swimming, waterfalls, and huge caves! I did not get the chance to go to any of the caves, but Slovenia is known for breathtaking caves. There are more than 10,000 caves in Slovenia. Plan to do a lot outside because the landscapes are fantastic with lovely castles on the top of big hills and grassy valleys with goats and sheep.

The food is very heavy, as it is a Slavic country, and most of it is really good. I recommend trying all the typical dishes for the city you are in. Each region is known for a different plate, and they change throughout the seasons which can be a bummer if you want to try a certain delicacy. Buckwheat is very famous in Slovenia. It is not my favorite, but everyone should try it once. The sweets are amazing and very very filling.

Slovenian is a very hard language to learn but just like in other countries it is highly appreciated if you attempt the niceties (i.e please and thank you).
