Be carful of the wine
It must be the lifestyle or maybe the food and wine that make the Portuguese incredibly happy. A warm, friendly, and vibrant country with food that will make your mouth water and your belly grow. The wine is deadly good, that is why you should be careful. There are many excellent wines here with some flavors that are hard to find in other areas of Europe because they often mix in the same grapes used to make Port. Along with the wine the food is extraordinary, go on as many food tours as you can.
Depending on the area you go to there still aren’t that many tourist respect to the boarding countries (not all of Portugal is like this). Learning to pronounce basics of Portuguese phrases is incredibly difficult. If you are one of those travelers who like to be able to say please and thank you, start practicing way before you arrive. If it is an imposable task for you, don’t worry a lot of people know English.
Go to the island - in the off season, around March to April, the beaches are stunning because there are no people on the island. There is a 11km (about 7 miles) walk around the island. Some of the most beautiful beaches in Algarve but also where naturism, also know as nudism, is legal.
