I WILL ALWAYS HAVE A PART OF MY HEART IN CANADA!
It is the sort of country that as soon as you step over the border you feel at home. For once the stereotypes aren’t a bad thing. Everyone is so pleasant. There is something for everyone (leaning on the side of nature lovers) but there are also cosmopolitan cities surrounded by miles and miles of wilderness. The food all over the country is incredible, fresh, delicious, and sadly a bit expensive… but with reason.
I moved to study at the University of Victoria on Vancouver Island in 2015. After that moment I became obsessed with Canada, I was a little crazy for it even before this. Most of the time I didn't want to come home to visit when I was living there. My home was in the ideal location, 5 min walk to the mountains that had a view over the ocean on to the Olympic mountains, 10 min walk to the beach, and 5 to bars. Canada is a dream that I wish I was still having. I will be back one day, soon.
I really don’t think there is a bad thing to say about Victoria. It is such a beautiful city with a harbor that is breathtaking at sunset…
