Victoria, Canada

02 getting around

01 what to do

03 eats

Victoria was my home for a little while, and I’m pretty sad that it isn’t still. It is such a fun little city to visit and to live in. One of my favorite things to do Victoria is to go pub hopping because they are really cute bars and the ales are amazing. There are always events going on in the city, so it is a good idea to check out what's happening when you are visiting. Eating out is very expensive but so very good! All the menus are very interesting and diverse from one another.

I really don’t think there is a bad thing to say about Victoria. It is such a beautiful city with a harbor that is breathtaking at sunset. And the people are just amazing it is pretty hard to have a bad day in my option. There is nothing more beautiful than a sunny day in BC.

01 What to do

  • Go hiking at the Goldstream National park

  • Walk around the city

  • Take a water plane tour (I have never but I am dying to)

  • Royal BC Museum

02 How to get around

I suggest if you want to see more than just downtown that you get a car because it takes a while to get around by bus (outside the city). Inside the city the bus system is amazing.

03 Where to eat

I have a lot of suggestions, but I will try to just put a couple…

Flying Otter Grill - Located in the center on a boat next to the water plane airport. It's a great place to eat or even just to have drinks. You can watch the water planes take off or visit with the seas who play at the docks.

Spinnakers - A cute little pub that has fantastic food. It overlooks the bay but a little bit out of the city center.

FishHook - Indo - French influenced. Unbelievably good and it is right on the water, so you can watch the water taxies go by!

The Empress - This was one of my favorite experiences in Victoria, afternoon tea at The Empress. It is fairly expensive, but the food is very good and the atmosphere is lovely.
