Because I lived in Italy, a frequent topic you hear is how crapy France is. Once I drove with a friend from Torino, Italy, to a small coastal town close to Monaco, France. A three-hour drive and the only thing he talked about was how the French do everything wrong. It was entertaining to me because of all of his complaints were some of the things I love most about France. It is one of my favorite places, the people are more open (if you try speaking some French). They are happy and content with what they have.
Mind you this doesn't apply to everywhere in France but in general, it is one of my favorite lifestyles.!, the During the summer when we used to sail the Italian Mediterranean, the people having the most fun were the French. Most of the French we saw were on tinny boats, about 10m (29ft), packed with 7-10 people and they were having the time of their lives. When I am in a not so ideal living situation I try to think of how they made the best of having little to no personal space.
This is a feel-good kinda place as soon as you arrive you are at ease. The people are extremely friendly and it is expected that you great people while walking in the streets.
